East Kensington:
Part of the 19th Century ‘District of Kensington’ Part of the modern 19125 Zip Code. EKNA’s borders correspond exactly to the borders of Census Tract 0161.
A series of Community meetings were held by the NAC of the NKCDC to discuss the role of a Civic in the area outside of the Fishtown Neighbors Association. With community input, EKNA’s boundaries were decided as follows:
–Front Street and Kensington Avenue in the West
–Lehigh Avenue to the North
–Trenton Avenue/Frankford Avenue to the East
–Norris Street to the South.
