We’ll be holding our monthly Zoning Meeting at Fireball Printing. Come hear from neighbors and developers who are trying to secure a variance for different projects each month. These variance requests can range from a request to change the zoning of a single parcel from commercial to residential, or allowing hundreds of new units in the neighborhood. After hearing developers’ proposals, residents can vote “yes” or “no” to the proposal. These voting results will then be sent to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA), which will ultimately decide whether to grant the developers’ request for relief. Our community vote, while not legally binding, has some influence and is considered by the ZBA, and is thus a crucial tool of the neighborhood to show support or opposition to developments within our neighborhood boundaries.
This meeting is open to all East Kensington residents and business owners. Proof of residency required to vote (driver’s license, passport, or utility bill. No exceptions.)
This meeting is held in-person.
